Life Announces New Executive Director
The Board of New Life Community is pleased to
announce the appointment of Walter Ginn as Executive Director. New
Life Community is a leader in supporting homeless families
successfully transition to permanent employment and housing in the
Greater Cleveland area.
Walter brings an exceptionally diverse and
strong background in management, finance, program development,
resource development, and building collaborative partnerships. He
also has significant relationships with many community stakeholders,
including government officials, agency leaders serving homeless
families, foundations, and other funders.

exceptional professional lead New Life Community,” said Charles
Royer, Board President of New Life Community. “Walter brings an
outstanding track record in building strong programs and leading
successful organizations. He has demonstrated a passion, vision and
energy for the mission of supporting homeless families successfully
transition to permanent employment and housing.”
Walter has been serving as New Life Community’s
Interim Executive Director since September 2008. In that time, he
has developed an understanding of the needs and challenges facing
New Life Community and already begun addressing them as well as
opportunities that may be available to New Life Community.
“I am honored by the Board’s confidence and feel
privileged to have the opportunity to lead this wonderful
organization, providing critical services to homeless families in
the Greater Cleveland area,” Ginn said. “New Life Community has
outstanding programs delivering excellent results. I look forward to
working with the talented and dedicated staff and board as we build
on that foundation and reach out to the broader community as well as
strengthen our services to program graduates to ensure their
long-term success.”
Walter is an experienced non-profit leader in
the Cleveland area. From 1996 to 2006, he led Towards Employment.
During that time Towards Employment grew from a staff of 11
individuals, budget of $1.0 million, and one program to a staff of
40 individuals, budget of $3.0 million, and five strong programs
serving over 3,000 low-income individuals each year. Since leaving
Towards Employment, Ginn has consulted with a number of non-profit
organizations. Prior to moving into the non-profit sector, for 20
years, Ginn served in legal, finance, and management capacities with
two Cleveland-based companies. He holds a Bachelors degree in
International Relations from Lehigh University, Juris Doctor degree
from New York University School of Law, and Masters of Science in
Management degree from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue
University.

Wings of Love – Fashion Show & Silent Auction

2009, New Life Community will be hosting its 1st Fashion Show
Fundraiser, Fly on the Wings of Love, at:
